The basis for a good lawn is rich soil.
A soil test is essential for diagnosing and fixing most major lawn issues. It's impossible to grow a thick, healthy lawn if the soil is poor. In fact, most lawn issues stem from soils that are missing key nutrients.
Getting a soil test is like getting some scans done, so that your doctor can tell whether you need major surgery or some simple medications. It offers a peek inside and guides future treatment. ๐ฉโโ๏ธ
Without a soil test, you're essentially working blind. You can try to guess what sort of fertilizers or treatments a lawn might need, but you're likely to waste lots of time, money and effort if you guess incorrectly — or potentially make existing problems worse.
Fortunately, most soil issues can be easily remedied, once you properly diagnose the underlying issue.
This is why I recommend that all new clients start out with a soil test. It will ensure that we're coming up with the correct plan for your specific lawn needs, and allows us to address existing challenges quickly and effectively.
